New York City: Day 4

The weather was against us, but we’re British so what would a little bit of rain do…? Usually make us stay indoors, but how could we when we’re in New York City!! The rain just meant we spent plenty of money on American candy and window shopped at Macy’s. The weather did win at the end of the day with a failure of a boat trip☹️.
We had one final attraction to use on our Explorer Passes which we decided to use on the Harbour Lights Cruise so we walked to the harbour in the morning to collect our boarding passes. We’ve figured it’s best to book ahead for any of the tourist attractions because of how crowded the city is with tourists all wanting to visit the same places.
This was our last full day so we made sure with did everything we hadn’t done and what we had missed out on the other days because of not having enough time. Our first port of call was Macy’s, although almost everything is out of our price range, we couldn’t go to America and not pay a visit to one of the most popular department stores! As you can imagine, I didn’t buy anything here, but as we went onto the next store, we all bought plenty.
TARGET! Being subjected with American YouTubers and American TV me and my sister were certain we had to find a Target and take a trip, so we did. It is so much better than an ASDA or TESCO! First of all, they had so many nice clothes and bikinis in there, second of all, they had EVERYTHING in there and third of all, they had huge tubs of cheese balls😍 if my suitcase had enough space, I’d have 100% bought them! Likewise they had so many different flavoured Oreos: Cinnamon, Red Velvet, Birthday Cake, Lemon, Pistachio, Firework etc. makes England seem a tad boring. Alongside some Firework Oreos I stocked up on Jolly Ranchers, Caramel M&Ms and Tootsie Rolls! Slightly gutted that England have to miss out on this amazing store.
After finishing up at Target, we clearly hadn’t got enough candy so we went a trip to Dylan’s Candy BarSuch a dreamy candy store split over three levels with so many different types and flavours of crazy candy! Realistically, it was slightly on the expensive side, but definitely worth it to see their candy floor.
Rainbow bagel? Damn right, we took a trip over to Brooklyn just so we could try out these Internet famous rainbow bagels at The Bagel Store to brighten up the rainy day a little. It’s fair to say they tasted as delicious as they looked, stuffed with tonnes of cream cheese. A huge range of cream cheese flavours were available to stuff your rainbow bagel with including some of the following: bacon and cheddar, blueberry and pumpkin pie, crazy right?!
Full up and drenched we went back to our hotel for warm cookies and hot chocolates, and for a daily rest of course. Siestas are much needed even in the USA, when you’re in a hectic city with a hectic itinerary it easily takes it out of you!
Venturing our way back to the harbour to get on the Harbour Lights Cruise we could see the fog getting lower and lower hiding the skyline. Making it slightly annoying since we were going on the cruise to see the skyline lit up in the evening, but currently there was no skyline. Heading round towards the Brooklyn Bridge, all we could see out of the windows was white, there was no separation between water and sky, just a pure white sheet. Great conditions for a site-seeing boat trip… not haha.  Eventually as it got darker we moved closer to the land and started to see light sneaking through the fog which meant we got some half decent-eerie photos so it wasn’t a complete disappointment.
To continue the evening we went to Juniors for a fantastic final dinner and some of Juniors special cheesecake afterwards before calling it a night.
