Want to smell good for a cheaper price? Expensive perfume duplicates

We’re all guilty of going into perfume shops and ‘testing’ the expensive fragrances we wish we could buy but they’re just waaaay too ridiculously priced. So we put them back down and accept that we’re only going to smell lush for the rest of the day, am I right? Well this blog post could be a game changer!
Last week my mum showed me a Daily Mail article about cheap duplicate perfumes that smell identical to the expensive originals from the likes of Chanel and Marc Jacob.. not to mention the duplicates were in popular high-street shops!!
To our surprise, her favourite ‘Daisy’ by Marc Jacobs and my favourite ‘Flowerbomb’ by Viktor & Rolf were both on the list and were from nearby high-street stores so of course we wanted to try them and see how true this article claims to be. We both have the originals of these perfumes which makes our comparison of the smells easier to judge, so we went out and bought the duplicates.
Marc Jacobs – Daisy
The average price for Marc Jacobs Daisy is £42 (30ml) in places such as Boots. While this duplicate ‘butterfly’ only cost £6.50 (25ml) from M&S! We both agree Butterfly is a great cheap replica, if anything it may have a slightly stronger hint to it than the original, which isn’t always a bad thing. It’s still a super sweet floral smell and it definitely smells a lot more expensive than it was. We were hesitant over how long the fragrance would last, but it seems to have impressed us with the smell lasting most of the day without any top ups, making it even better value for money.

Viktor & Rolf – Flowerbomb
The average price for Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb is £105 (100ml) in Boots. This replica Dusk can be found in New Look, for £12.99 (100ml). This fragrance can come in a range of forms, you can get handbag sized sprays for £3.99 or even body spritz for £4.99. The scent of Dusk is almost identical to flower bomb, a slightly weaker version but you still know exactly what perfume it is meant to smell like.

We’re both over the moon we don’t have to wait until special occasions now to use our ‘best’ perfume because we can use the cheaper versions on the daily without breaking our bank once we run out!! We’re now on a scout to try the other duplicate fragrances suggested on the Daily Mail which include: Coco Chanel, Thierry Mugler’s Angel, Armani Code and Paco Rabanne’s Invictus.
