Who Is She? |The Bloscar Awards!

We read blogs and invest ourselves in the lives of other people, but we don’t always actually know who the person behind the screen is. Unless you’ve been on my ‘contact‘ page, you may not know who I am. Katy from Katy’s Travel Hints and Tips nominated me to take part in The Bloscar Awards and I thought I’d take this opportunity to answer some questions so you can get to know me a little more.

When did you start blogging?
I initially started blogging in November 2015 over on Wix posting a Cinnamon Pretzel recipe. I posted on this blog page weekly until December 2016 when I created a new blog page, at this stage my blogging took a back step while I was busy stressing over my A-level exams. One of my first University modules was to create a blog page on WordPress, this made me want to start blogging again and I decided to use WordPress rather than Wix… and that’s how we got here!
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I was interested in creating content and loved social media. I enjoyed taking photos and sharing my work with people. While you’re still in school doing set GCSEs it’s hard to express your creativity and interested in media. Albeit Media being on the curriculum, I only produced about two media texts, the rest was theory, I wanted to create more media texts.
What is your blog about?
My blog is about quite a range of things, mostly coming under the Lifestyle blog category with the exception of some Fashion, Beauty, Baking blogs. Basically a mix of anything I find that takes my interest! I’d love to blog more about student life to help other students or people wanting to go to University and hear about the experience first hand.
What’s your favourite quotation?
I like quite a few different quotes, all of which are relevant at different points in my life. One that i’m currently loving is “Never allow waiting to become a habit. Live your dreams and take risks. Life is happening now.” the quote motivates me to work hard on my future.
What’s your favourite holiday destination?
My favourite holiday destination i’ve been to so far has to be Venice! I would go back to Venice in a heartbeat, it’s such a beautiful city so different to anywhere i’ve been before. Not to mention the insane Italian pizza!
Are you the type of person that meticulously researches a holiday trip or do you just go with the flow?
100% I’m a meticulous searcher, I spend absolutely ages doing research about where the trips are, what there is to do, how we’re going to get from A to B, if there’s nearby places to eat, what the temperature is going to be like. I research EVERYTHING, until i’m sick of researching and then just book the damn holiday.
What means of travel do you enjoy the most?
I love visiting multiple local places on one trip. Being obsessed with travelling, I want to see everywhere. Two years ago we went on a family holiday to Bridlington and we went on road trips to nearby coasts such as Scarborough and Whitby. My friend and I have just booked a holiday to Sorrento in the Summer and we’re planning on travelling around the local areas visiting Naples, Pompeii and Capri while we’re there. The dream is to do this type of travelling over in America.
What’s your favourite colour and why?
My favourite colour is grey (boring I know), I just love how grey goes with everything!
What are your hobbies?
Blogging is definitely a hobby of mine, as well as filming and editing videos. I also enjoy baking and trying new recipes, not forgetting travelling, of course.
What’s your favourite type of music?
My music taste varies so much! I love modern chart songs, but I also find myself listening to 90s/00s throwbacks quite a lot of the time. But then Reggae is also a guilty pleasure of mine, shhh!
